Group Orchestration Masterclass 2: Full Orchestra

Jessica will use examples from her score to a yet-to-be released documentary, recorded by Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2024. She will look at how to write effectively for full orchestra, and discuss tips for doublings, melody and accompaniment, creating a ‘mood’, and getting the most out of orchestral colour.
She will be looking at a film score, but the techniques that she’ll discuss will be applicable for anyone writing or arranging for an orchestra (either to be recorded or to perform live).
